Bad tick over, very bad acceleration, lots of black smoke, is it possible that there is a crack or hole in the intercooler pipes, have checked the injectors none are leaking, new air filter, weird noise from the front passenger side of the engine. Very soft intercooler pipe when compressed noise changes. Any help would be great. thanks, Jeff

I have seen the EVAP purge stick open which can suck fuel into the engine, but I need to ask if there are any codes?

Here is the location of the purge valve. Please remove it to see if you can blow through it, if so, the valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes.

Does this engine have a turbo? Also did you check the EVAP purge valve?

You could have a turbo seal that has let go and it is filling the engine will oil to burn. I would remove the inlet or outlet tubes and check the endplay of the turbo.
