Took it to the mechanics and was told it was not the alternator but the BCM instead. is that true? because I feel as if they did not want to replace alternate because everything like parts and labor were under warranty.

Just want to know if it's true or not

Good evening,

There is a module called the intelligent module which also is called a body control module. It does have an influence on the alternator system. It turns the alternator on and off based on load.

This could be the issue but needs to be verified.

My suggestion is to tell him that if you give him the okay to replace it, it must fix the issue. If it does not, tell him you will not pay the bill.

I attached diagrams for you to view.
