Hello, I'm Danny.

It sounds like you have a weak or defective alternator. Most local auto parts stores will test for free. Here are tutorials for showing you how to remove the belt and the alternator:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-alternator

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/replace-serpentine-belt

The output of the alternator should be between 12.5-14.5 volts. I've attached picture steps below on how to remove and replace for your Focus.Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Hi,

Adding the Freon to the system shouldn't have anything to do with the battery. Something is either drawing power all the time, or even something simple like a light is staying on. Lets start simple. Take a look through this link and let me know if there is anything in it that helps.

If that doesn't help, let me know if other work was done or anything you can think of that may have caused an issue.

Take care,
Joe
