Battery drains overnight?

Hi,

My first question would have to be how old is the battery? Have you had it load tested to see if it is maintaining enough cranking amperage?

If you haven't, that is where I recommend starting. Most parts stores will do it free of charge.

Also, there could be a parasitic draw on the battery causing it to drain overnight. Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps:

Also, let me know about the condition of the battery and its age as well.

I charged the battery, and it struggled to start it. It took 3 tries but the battery was full and fine. We had tried replacing the battery and the same issue was there but the battery and alternator tests fine.

I wasn't able to find the drain but this wire snapped and I don't know how to replace it. I was trying to replace the terminals.

The wire connector is what broke. Looking at the picture, it appears the wire harness will need replaced for that connection unless there is enough room left on the wire side to drill a hole and mount it.

What I suggest is to visit a local parts store such as AutoZone. They have a section of battery connectors and repair parts. If you can find one that is similar to the one that has broken, you could cut the wires and crimp them onto a new connector. Just make sure all wires are tightly connected in the new connector, and all are making contact.

All you will need is a repair connector that can fit all the wires and the bolt stud you need to attach it to.
