Transmission not shifting properly

It has no power taking off from a complete stop, won't go into high gears, surges when I put it in park. Hard shifts when downshifting. Security light blinks when car is turned off.

Hi,

Is the check engine light staying on when the vehicle is running? Does the security light turn off when the engine is running?

If you haven't already, start by checking the transmission fluid condition and level. If you look at the directions below, they explain how to check the level and condition of the fluid.

Do this and let me know what you find.
