Bad mechanic

I brought my car to get a battery and alternator replaced to a local mechanic. He replaced the battery, and alternator, however now some things are not functioning. The window doesn't go up or down, the auto side view mirror doesn't work, the dash board lights and the turn signals don't operate. i just get a warning symbol with a car on a lift. I brought it back to him, he says "ohh the vehicle has a lot of miles I have to look further into it." I ask him if he register the battery he says yes. I am guessing he didn't reprogram the codes, given that this vehicle has to be coded. I don't want to deal with this mechanic, but I feel i have no choice. Any response will be greatly appreciated.
