Where is the automatic transmission speed sensor (VSS) located?

Both the input and output transmission sensors are located inside the transmission under the valve body. To access then you need to remove the transmission pan and the solenoid valve body inside it and then you can get to the speed sensors. The output sensor is mounted as shown in the first image. The input sensors are on the side of the case but connect inside the transmission.
