yesterday while driving, I stopped at a stop sign. When I started off again the transmission would not shift out of low gear and I got no engine check light. I made it home in low. The next day I started off and transmission shifted with no problem. What could be the problem? Also, can you tell me how to remove the transmission dip stick so I can check the fluid level. Thanks

The car may or may not have a dip stick this is when they were omitting them from the cars so you need to take it into the dealer to have it checked, but it sounds like it is a shift solenoid that is creating the problems.
