Good afternoon,

Have you checked the transmission mount to see if it is broken?

How long since you changed the fluid and filter in the transmission?

Got it.

Most likely the issue is internal in the valve body. There are accumulators that have springs inside and they break at times.

I was thinking that might be the problem too, but i took the neutral safety switch off to make sure the neutral marks were lined up then took it for a drive and got up to speed through the gears and it shifted like it should all the way back home. i go for a drive the next day and it is back the way it was, it does not make sense to me.

The neutral switch has no effect on the shifting. It is a position switch for starting and back up lights only.

No, to the FIXIT thing. I would not use that if I were you.
