my auto start will not stay running it shuts off in ten seconds. My trunk will open on its own when i do start the car and the gas cap light is on with the check engine light even after i replaced the gas cap.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a BCM model that has gone out but to be sure you must have the car scanned.

Here is the wiring diagrams for the BCM and you can see the issues with auto start and trunk are related. We should check the fuses as well. Here is guide:

Check out the diagrams (below) Which are the fuse panel locations and identifications.
