2000 Audi A8 alarm made car not start

i have a 2000 audi a8 v8 and the alarm went off and then i put the key in the ignition and it stopped but when i tried to turn it on it wouldnt start and the alarm went off again. whats wrong?

go outside of the car and close all doors. lock the car. Then unlock the car with the key twice in a row and see if the alarm comes back on.
