2003 Audi A6 Changing the brake light switch

Hello and thanks for donating The only thing that needs removed to gain access is the storage compartment on the driver's side. This should be held on with a few screws and some plastic clips on the back. Remove those screws and pull to pop the clips out of place. Then disconnect the brakelight switch harness connector. Loosen the lock nut, and remove the switch by turning it counterclockwise. Installation will be reverse order. After new switch is installed it will need adjusted. Depending on which style of switch yours has, follow the steps below for adjustment..
