Hello,
I joined up with stoprepairbills.com recently and enrolled in their warranty program. It seemed like a good idea, since I'd like to keep my car about another 100000 miles. I received a package from a company called Prolong Plus this afternoon. There are some additives enclosed that I am supposed to put in my car. There is an engine oil additive, radiator additive, air conditioning spray additive, and a couple of electrical rubber seals. At the time of getting into the warranty program, there was no mention of my having to add anything fluid-wise to my car. I'm very nervous about adding these additives to my car, as Audi's tend to be very particular about what fluids are put in them, as you probably know. This was not brought up to me up front, but apparently the warranty is going through Prolong Plus (Mepla), so I'm not sure what I should do. What is your opinion on this, please?
Sincerely,
Dale Lackey

Hello again,
the additives are made by Prolong Plus, with the mother company called Mepla. This is a company through stoprepairbills.com. Like I said, I'm very leery of putting anything additive wise in my audi. I take all precautions as far as oil changes, fluid changes, and whathaveyou. I don't know if this will void my warranty with them if I don't put it in, so I'm very anxious to hear from an expert.

The bottles are not that big. The engine oil additive and radiator additive are 12 oz, and the air conditioning additive spray can is 2 oz. I would imagine these are teflon related products, but don't know. Do you think this is a wise thing to do?

I tend to agree with you on putting some sort of snake oil in my car. I have little if any faith in these products as they tend to be worthless. I do not recommend putting any thing in your car that was not manufacturer recommended. As to the warranty, I have no experience with the company you spoke of, have you read all the fine print?
