2000 Audi A6 How to change Bank 2 Sensor 1 O2 sensor?

To better assist you is your model just the A6 or the Quattro or the Avant Quattro.

My car is an Avant Quattro... much appreciate if you could provide relevant pictures or diagram for the fix.

Hello Okay, you have 4 sensors on the vehicle. Here are the banks below. Cylinder bank 1 is located on right side in direction of travel. Cylinder bank 2 is located on left side in direction of travel.

Since your code is Bank 2 Sensor 1 that would be number 15 the one before the cat. You are supposed to follow the directions below using the grease. You may have to get this at the dealer. 1. Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 2 - G108-* bank 2, 50 Nm Only use "G 052 112 A3" to grease thread; do not let "G 052 112 A3" get onto slit of oxygen sensor You will need to use a special tool you can get it at Auto Zone and you may be able to use their tool check out program if they have that to loan.

Try cleaning your MAF sensor with electrical cleaner. Just spray it really good...the resistors and the fine wire. don't touch it otherwise. just the spray.

Then let's see how it runs

Hello - Also, it looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.

Hello - Sure -I will do what I can to blow it up but have you tried right clicking on the pic....saving it to your drive then viewing it as a pic or inserting into a say, powerpoint doc and making it bigger? I have tried several different things but I think that is the best I can do for some reason on that one.

If you need it bigger than this.......and the above doesn't work - I will have to fax it to you or split the pic........ Just let me know. The MAF is located on the aircleaner...........

I've cleaned the MAF sensor with air intake and since it isn't raining lately all seems well. Crossing fingers that the dreaded check engine light doesn't come on for a long while.
