hi just purchasd my car from car auctions it has full service history at regular intervals ,very quiet on standing ,however when i took it out yesterday engine noise seems loud as you get faster and then the PRNDS on the display is flashing it has a tiptronic gearbox and revs seem to be running at 2000 can you help

Need to have the powertrain scanned fo rcodes, but it sounds like the trans is probably having issues. Scan it and get back

Yep it is not shifting, here is a guide to help you get the codes so we can fix it, also is the speedometer working? if not this is your problem, I would replace the VSS sensor here is the location.
