Hello...'03 Audi A4 V6 3.0 44,000 miles - When I begin accelerating, the car begins to vibrate noticeably around 20mph. It gradually becomes more of a shaking as speed increases. It is at it's worst between 50-60mph. When I let up on the gas pedal, the shake goes away. Depress the pedal and the shake comes back. There is also a very faint knocking that I can hear when the radio is off and I can feel the knocking through my feet. Ever heard of this? Thanks, guys!

I have my mechanic trouble shooting that same issue on my BMW 325xi today...

He has thinks that there may be a reburn of the pcm that may fix it, and will also check the following:

- Check wheel bearings for speed vibration
- Check the flex guibo disc (a little rubber thing that connects your tranny to your drive shaft - you have to drop the exhaust to get at the flex disk)
- Check Lug centric spacers
- Check some of the fittings in the rear of the car - specifically the bolt that keeps the diff from moving around
- Check Center support bearing
- Check Transmission mounts
- Check Rear main diff. bolt
- Check Front Drive
- Check For Upper and Lower Ball Joint Wear
- Checking Idler Arm and Tie Rod Ends
- Check Motor Mounts
- Check Rims and Balance

Did you ever figure out what was wrong with Audi that shakes? Mine is doing exactly the same thing. They checked tires, alignment and then had me put a new drive shaft in. That did not help. Still shakes just as you described it.
