2003 Audi A4 Gearbox replace

Dear Sirs,
I have to replace my Audi A4 1.8 turbo tiptronic gearbox. The transmission code is GEB x x x. I found recon gearbox but the transmission codes are: EVE, DXE, DMX. I am wondering if is ok to replace it with one of the above or if you recoment me any other transmission code.

Hello .. thanks for the donation .. much appreciated You will have to replace the transmission with a trans of the same GEB code for the gear ratios to be the same for your engine.. it's a multitronic 01JH cvt (continuosly variable transmission) Hope this helps .. let me know

Dear Dave, You thing that GEC model might be ok for my car? Thanks. George Metaxas Hey George. You need to replace the transmission with the GEB code letter trans...it has to be an 01J H trans ...for the gearing ratio's to be the same or it will not function correctly !!

I'm afraid you will need the same gearbox !! the ratio's are specific to the tiptronic 1.8L engine and ECU .. as I don't know where you are located (country) I cannot supply a recon gearbox distributor ... have you tried EBAY ? .. let me know
