1998 Audi A4 Automatic 175000 miles

i have an a4 1.9tdi. can i safely run the car without the oil cooler, which has been by-passed to sto poil leaking into coolant

You can many vehicles have no oil cooler. But under hard driving oil would become very hot and viscosity break down would occure
