i purchased a 97 audi that had a bad headgasket. they let it sit for 8 months with bad oil in it and when i removed head there was rust on cylinder wall, just 2 spots on the 2 center cylinders. It looks like a drip of water but its built up rust as a drip mark down cylinder, i used wd-40 and a scotch bright pad on it and it almost all came off but theres a very slight bump if i run my finger over it. My question is can this be fixed withoute honing the cylinders and tearing it all apart or should i just buy a new engine head damage was nothing no biggie it was resurfaced if i can fix this solution itll be done but i know there cant be any pits in the cylinder otherwise itll burn oil and smoke. Again it was just 2 small spots on 2 center cylinder walls they both look like a drip of rust and they were built up a little but everything else is smooth.
