I am replacing the brakes and rotors on my son's Audi. One of the front rotors cannot be removed, even with a little tapping with a hammer. Should I try heating the rotor and then tap it? Any other suggestions?

Hi W1993NY. Welcome to the forum. If you use heat, use an acetylene torch to prevent overheating the wheel bearing and seal. It will get the job done quickly so parts can cool down. A propane torch will not get as hot so you will have to keep applying heat for a long time. Heat right around the center where the rotor contacts the hub.

After you get the rotor off, sand the rust from the center hole, then use high-temperature anti-seize compound to make removal easier next time.
