Electrical problem

hi i have a ittermitant fault the car cuts out when idleing somtimes but jerks like it wants to cutout when driving i had a mercanic out 3times first he said it was crank sensor so i replaced it then he said it was idle control valve so i replaced it. he has cost me a fortume and still no luck if theres any one who knows i would be greatfull the guy i brought it of said it was possible ecu.i hope not because i dont think that would be cheap .thanks mark
