ASD relay jumper, crank no start?

No power to fuses 23, 26, 32 for the ASD output. if I put a temporary jumper between fuse 11 and fuse 23, to power up the ASD relay output circuit, is it okay to drive it like this for a couple of trips until I get the relay box corroded wire problem fixed? Forgot to add, P0688 is the only code. Also, I'm assuming that 23, 26, and 32 are all tied together. At least that's the way the diagrams make it look.

So this happens when the TIPM goes out, here is a wiring diagram to help show you:

P0688 - Auto Shutdown (ASD) Relay Sense Circuit Low

Here is how to change out the TIPM which is easy because it-self learns. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

I think the TIPM is good. The main cause right now is corroded and broken wires at the relay box under the left front headlight. I'm just asking is it safe to do this temporary bypass that I described in my initial post.

Also, if I jump 30 to 87 at the ASD relay, it runs, and I have power at 23, 26, and 32. So, that says TIPM is good.

Okay, its good you have power at the fuses. I would disconnect the MAP sensor and see if the ASD relay kicks in, if this sensor is bad or weak it will not tell the PCM there is vacuum inside the engine therefore not turn the ASD on. Also, the TIPM can still be bad, you can see by the image below there is a circuit broad inside the TIPM which can be bad. Check out the images (below). Are the broken wires you speak of at the TIPM? Can you upload an image?

Disconnected MAP sensor, no joy. (previously mentioned broken wire went to a fog light)
I only got power at those fuses when I jumpered pin 30 and 87 at the relay.

New info: scanned again, now I see a P0113 (IAT High) in addition to the ASD code. Checked the wiring to the sensor...mice have chewed through both wires completely. Would this possibly cause the problem?

Repaired that wiring...still nothing. If I jump fuse 11 to 26, it starts and runs...
Still pointing to the TIPM?

If you don't jump the fuses does 26 have power? If not then I would check for wiring damage and if okay I would replace the TIPM.

I'm on a continuous hunt for damaged wiring. Since it appears that the PCM provides the ground for the ASD relay coil, can you tell me how to check that? I'm getting +12v to the coil, so that's not an issue. I'd like to check the ground side of the coil for that relay. What conditions (key on?) and how to check that specifically. Thank you, Ken L.

Do you have power at fuse# 18? this is what powers the main relay.
