are the engine cylinders like combustion chambers

Hi sir, i want to know if the v6 piston engine cylinders are combustion chambers, these cylinders can be called combustion chambers because in them gasoline is burned is that true? the cylinders are part in which gasoline is burned which drives pistons. well sir waiting for your reply. thanks indeed.

the pistons suck in the air/fuel mixture then compress it. the ignition system fires the mixture to make power and then it is sent through exhaust system and starts all over. the combustion chamber is really the cylinder head which is where the valves are located on most engines. that is where the combustion process is done with the fuel air mix and pistons compressing the gas.
