Anyway to make obd2 work with obd1

Is there anyway to make a 1998 Subaru legacy outback automatic transmission taht is obd2 work with a 1992 Subaru legacy (it had an automatic) that is obd1? They have the same connectors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Chances are there is a way to do it. However, we only recommend direct fit components because there always seems to be an issue when you change things such as this.
