The anti theft system and remote start are not working with the remote fob. The car will not start with the key either. This all happen at the same time. 3 hours prior both worked fine. I can open the doors manually and lock manually. When I lock and close the door the lights flash as usual letting me know the anti theft is set. If it was one or the other, it would be much easier to figure out. But with both issues happening simultaneously, I have no idea what to do.
I replaced the batteries in the remote fob and the car battery was installed in August. But I did try jumping the car. But it still did not start or turn over. I made sure the car was in park. Everything in the car seems to work fine.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is the first thing to try. This is an anti-theft, security system reset. Here is a link to the tutorial:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-reset-a-security-system

After reading just scroll to the bottom of the page to find Hyundai. Follow those directions and then get back to us letting us know what happens and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thank you for your response Danny. I tried all the things in the article without any results The status is the same. Security system not responding and the car not starting. I do here the fuel pump when I turn the key on and when I try and start the car I do get 1 little click per each turn of the key but that's all. It the security system worked I would say it was probably the starter. But since it doesn't I'm assuming the security system is the root of the problem. Any thoughts?

Yes, it sounds like the security module has gone out. To be sure lets do a CAN scan which is the future of automotive repair. you can get a CAN scanner from Amazon for about $50.00. here is a video to show you how:

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Hello again.

You might be having an issue with the starter motor solenoid. The solenoid is what engages the starter motor. Here is a tutorial showing its operation and replacement:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-a-starter-and-solenoid-works

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-starter-motor

Most auto parts stores will test the starter motor for free. I've attached picture steps below for removal and installation of the starter motor for your vehicle. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
