I recently bought a 1980 AMC Spirit from my aunt. It was garage stored (not driven) for five years. My question is a fairly general one: I don't want to do repairs as problems occur. I'd like to make the car dependable RIGHT NOW. So, as 29-year-old cars go, of this type, what repairs would you focus on? So far I've:
--replaced the fluids
--replaced the Carter with a 2100 Motorcraft
Mainly I've been wondering if I should start replacing all rubber parts, such as brake piston seals, brake cylinder seals, etc.
Thank you!!
