After replacing the ambient sensor it still says that it has an open circuit, why?

I have changed the sensor and it still says that it has an open circuit. I don’t know where to begin traces wires non were broken that I could see but that was under-hood. It’s hot and I need my A/C.

Yes, you will need to test the wire continuity and run a new wire if there is none, here is a guide to help you and the A/C wiring diagrams so show you which wires to test in the diagrams below. Do you mean the sun sensor?
