I recently went to the dealer for service and had the following work done: spark plug replacement, induct induction service, drain and refill CVT transmission fluid, and differential service: front and rear fluid flush. At the end of my appointment, they indicated that I needed to immediately replace my front and rear brake pads and rotors.
They did not do a multi-point inspection as they were supposed to, claiming I had waived it (I did not) and now my car is making a droning sound (like a high-speed car whizzing by on a racetrack) when driven. My question is twofold: (1)Would they be able to determine if I needed rotors and pads if they did not inspect my car? and (2) Could the need for pads and rotors cause the droning sound that I am hearing (although the sound has nothing to do with applying the brakes)?
