Alternernator Light staying on Batt not charging

My car will not stay running if you disconnect the battery cable, I have 3 batteries one in the front and two in the back I replaced the 65amp alternator with a 100amp I replaced the voltage regulator since I don't know if all the connections on the fusable links are good we hard wired the regulator to batter and alternator and still the battery isn't charging, what else could be done to correct the charging system its a 1969 Lincoln Continental so no computers to deal with..

of course it will not run with a cable off. the alternator needs 12 volts to work, you take it away and it does not work.

what is the voltage at the battery with the engine running??

It was at 12.65 but doesnt hold it will running.. I have to go back and jump the battery..when the car is off nothing is left on to drain battery.. and when its being jump started the alt light still stay on..
But about disconnecting the cable when I had switch the batter out of a truck it was running disconnected the cables to remove the battery and the it remain running..take off the cable on the Lincoln an it cuts off.. but I have all new parts and its still not charging the battery
