Car is not charging. Removed alternator and found fusible link wire burnt in half. Repaired but still no connection to battery. Here's the weird part: the fusible link goes up the harness to a relay (red with black tracer that feeds into an orange on the other side of the relay which goes to ground tested with meter). Can't find any evidence of another link to the red wire on the starter solenoid from the B+ terminal on the alternator-both on the alternator and the starter sol. I've looked everywhere for a service wiring diagram but can't find one for this model and year. Common sense says to create a solid connection from the B+ alternator terminal to the always hot side of the starter sol. but I don't want to reroute power if it wasn't going there in the first place.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. The diagram was right. What it didn't show was that for this model there is another wire coming from the starter coil that goes to the relay for the electric water pump. Both ends were crimped on the same connector and when they either pulled free or burnt out it was nearly impossible to see what was left of that connector on the coil. Repaired both wires and reinstalled on battery side of starter coil. Charging at 14.5 volts. Thank you again for the fast help!
