Alternator installation

I have a new alternator to install, it has one small white wire two larger black wires, and one plug in, the black wires are the same. on my truck I have two black wires with white stripes, which black goes where or does it matter?

Hi,

I'm looking through the schematics and I show two different designs. One has an internal voltage regulator, and one is external. Looking at both schematics, I'm seeing white wires with a black tracer. Is that what you have?

Do me a favor. Take a look at the schematic below. It contains both types of systems. See if one mirrors what you have.

No neither are right, I found a phone number for the place that rebuilds these alternators, the two black wires both go to positive battery. So, they can go together either way, so question answered, thanks for the help!
