I am seriously thinking about purchasing a mobile tool franchise and discovered that within the brand I'm considering, there currently is no other female owners (only spouses in 2nd trucks). I wonder why? What do you techs out there think about buying your tools from a female dealer? Do you think as long as I'm providing the same or higher level of service that I will get less business because I'm a woman.

You'll take some abuse no doubt, but it is more likley cause your a tool dealer than a woman. If you can walk the walk and talk the talk, be a smart business person, stay aggressive and work your tail off, you can do it. From what I have seen is Techs don't like someone who doesn't have a clue or will give a BS answer instead of finding out wht the tech needs to know. We have a snap on rep that is truley a salesman. The more I talk to him, the more I see he doesn't know car repair. He deceives, but I don't know how intentional it is. But he is successful and is ALWAYS cheerful and upbeat not in a naive flighty way either.

I have a tool person that's a woman (she ended up with the route from her husband) she's doing better with it than he did.
