1995 Peugeot 405 GLX diesel estate 1905cc (157,000 miles) is losing about 1 pint of water after driving just 5 miles (and then the warning light for the radiator comes on). No drips whilst stationary. The repair shop has "pumped it up to high pressure to see if leak shows itself and it doesn't. I have put in an all-purpose sealant in the radiator which is supposed to plug small leaks in radiator and also head gasket to no avail. The repair shop say they have checked the hoses. Any ideas as to the cause, or suggestions?

I would suggest checking the exhaust for water vapor. I suspect that the engine is throwing it out the exhaust pipe. Cause would be a head or head gasket problem.
