Without warning the passenger door refused to open using either the key fob, the external door handle or the interior door handle. All the rods inside the door seem to be connected OK and the button that goes up and down, does so OK. I understand there are micro switches in the door latch mechanism, which presumably have stopped working.
I have tried disconnecting the battery and working the levers, with no effect. I have sprayed WD40 liberally around the latch, again with no effect.
I have managed to release the door panel (undamaged) at the door opening end, so have limited access to the inside of the door.
The question: Can the door lock be persuaded to open, ideally without damaging the door?
