93 lumina Z34 runs tell it is warm and dies

I cant find the crank sesor is it by the trans of dampener on front , I was driving down the road and it died after 15 min it started but only went one block and died changed filter and did not help i went back 4 hours later and got in it and it made it home 8 min drive pulled in drve way and it died so my friend sayes it needs a crank sensor mybe, i have it but whare does it go .any help please O yA it has a 3.4 dohc I did test the plug wire after it dies and thare is no spark
