Hello, I have a 91 S10, 2.5a engine, 159,000 miles that has no fire. I have replaced the starter in march and the fuel pump just this last weekend. drove it into the shop to change the fuel pump. After that job was done, tried to start it, results: nothing. Pulled the wires and it has no fire. Was told by a mech. to check the hot on the throttle body. Question one: does the throttle body need a ground (blue wire). With a test light it showed hot. (red wire). While cranking it, it had no pulse on the hot wire. Was told this should mean a pickup is bad. Question two: it seems to me that the ignition would cause all of these problems, yes? I have fuel to the throttle yet no spitting of it into the pan. I am new to the electronics of this vehicle and would like some input. (work car, lots of kids to feed...etc.)
Thanks ahead of time,
