2006 Civic Si - 2 questions

First question is quick. I am looking to put a Cold Air Intake on my Civic Si. However, I live in Spokane, WA and the weather during the winter here is very cold and wet. Should I opt for the short ram intake (taking warmer engine air) as opposed to the CAI?

Second, I am also looking to swap brake pads. I have been looking around to find out how to take them apart, but can't find anything helpful. Is there a website out there that could help me.....or does anybody else know how to take them apart? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Even it's to tell me to keep looking :). Thanks

I would opt for the short ram based on the climate you anticipate.

Are you talking about separating the pad from the backing plate and then putting on new pads to the back plate?

First of all, thanks for the reply. I was reading up on the CAI and the general consensus I got is that as long as I don't drive through large puddles where the filter would be submerged, causing hydro-lock, I would be fine. Do you agree or disagree? Would the cold weather be a factor too? I have heard that CAI provides better performance and gas mileage, which is why I want the CAI.

For the brakes....I am taking them apart to both replace the pads, and paint the calipers (I figure two birds with one stone) . So, I would basically be needing some kind of manual or intructions on how to do that safely. I don't want to make a mistake and end up with brakes that don't work. Thanks again
