I have 2004 Pacifica burning 1 qt per 1000 miles, 36,000 miles on car. I had this in to dealer b/f warrenty up.

Dealer can't find leak.
Dealer saw blue smoke.
Dealer cleaned upper and lower intake and claims blue smoke no longer seen.

Now I am to continue driving to see if still loosing oil.

Does this sound like proper diagnosis proceedure?

What should we be looking at for oil loss?

Have you kept up with oil changes? 36,000 is way to soon to burn oil! Consumption should be near 0!

I have kept up with the oil changes except last Oct
I went 5,000m, that is how I found out I was burning oil. (no leak on the driveway)

I was told the oil was very low--near empty.
