Help me please !!!! I have a 2002 Seat alhambra that is regularily failing to start in the last two weeks. On turnover i get just a click from the ignition, the lights, stereo etc all still work fine at this point.
Putting a meter on the battery chucks up around 11.5-12volts and once i get it jump started the meter reads 13.9 volts with no electrics running and it takes very little effort to jump start(ie lights, stereo, heater)
Soon as i turn anything electric on the meter drops so it ends up with lights, stereo, heated seats, heated windscreen 4 ways and demister on the battery reads 12volts.
Charging the battery overnight guarantees a start teh next day but isnt ideal as you can imagine.
Battery is at least 3yrs old and is halfords own brand calcium with 4yr warranty but unknown exact date of fitting as it was in when i got the car
Any ideas anyone ???
