2000 Odessey, tail light

The break light bulb needs replacing. I lift the tailgate, pop open the two caps covering the screws and take them out. Now the assembly is loose, but there is a catch/latch, something I can't see, holding that thing in, and for the life of me I cannot figure out what it is? I got so mad wiggling that thing around I was about to just pry it out with a screwdrive, but I figured it would be cheaper to find out how to do it right rather than buy a whole new assembly after I broke off whatever is holding this thing on.
