1996 Mystique lower radiator hose

Start pulling accessories off until you have accss

Was going to do that today, but the power steering pump is on top, and the a/c condenser is below, and I'm not sure if both of them off would give me enough room. Plus, the main belt will have to come off, I was hoping to get a more direct answer than a "poke and hope".

i have the same probelm with my bros merc.(its also a 96 mercy mystque, make a long story short, the merc overheated in the freeway and we trired to take it off but with the limited time and location we had to get it towed....we couldent take it off, at the location, but yea i agreeed with you its a spider looking thing and hard to get to, my bro is going to start working on it and if there is succsess ill keep you updated, on how he did it and all. from what i saw it looks like you have to take out the exhaust mainfold heat shield and if there is still no room you got to take of the a/c pump off,

I ended up taking it to a local guy I have used before after the massive response from my first post. Anyway, no thanks to this site, you have to pull the top motor mount loose, and the power steering pump to get at it, and possibly some other misc. items. It is about a 3+ hour job according to my mechanic. He also used regular clamps instead of the spring clamps they provide. The hose was $83. from my friendly Ford dealer. The dealer said originally it was about $400. for them to do the whole thing. Hope this helps.
