Hi there,

This is a problem with these transmissions, you will have to go see a transmission specialist for a test & report there will not be much that you can do save make sure that the oil level is OK and its condition is OK as well.

HI there,

the transmission dip stick should be at the front of the transmission, just in front of the distributor and next to the exhaust manifold, it will have a lever type lock i think and will be coloured red or yellow.

Hi there,

I've had the same issue with my automatic 1993 barina, where it seems as though the gears gets stuck and it starts revving like your in neutral.

Ive taking mine to get replaced, but it seems as though the gear box the mechanic has replaced it with does the same issue, so theyre looking into it to see its not another issue!!!

Get them to run a scan and check for any transmission electrical faults .
