I have a 1993 Cutlass Cierra S 3.3 with approx. 158,000 miles. I was on my way to work and my car began to make a really really deep roaring noise. I noticed a clanking noise very shortly after. Anyhow, I got out and check the car, and my new muffler (7 months old) is still intact, but my exhaust pipe was broken in half.
It is broken about 6 inches from the cat. converter. It seems somewhat rigid and dark around the break points. What I want to know is: can I drive it to a repair shop like this?, or could i patch it w/ a pipe clamp? Also, is it possible w/ the right dremel tool to replace this myself?
Any advice on this subject is appreciated.
