I have a diesel Peugeot 205 GLD that is 17 years old, but is an extremely reliable commuter vehicle doing 80 miles daily. However, over the last few days it has begun to occassionally slightly lose power, then surge when driving. The fault is very intermittant and mostly at lower gears. I tried cleaning the injectors with a fuel adative this weekend and thought that has solved the problem as it has been fine for a few days, but it has started again today. It does not have a rev counter, but might be running slightly fast at idle, not sure?
