1989 Probe Break pedal drops

The first thing to do is check the brake fluid level. Check for leaks etc.

There are no leaks and the fluid level is a little overfull. I also maintain a nice firm pedal when depressing on pedal.

So if you try to pump the brakes, do you build up pressure or lose it?

Had to go and check. If I completely let the pedal return, I can pump with a normal, firm pedal even in park. Depending on how far I let the pedal raise is when I am getting the drop. While driving I apply breaks to slow down(normal pedal) then reapply without letting pedal come all the way up(normal) come to a stop(normal) let the pedal come up to where pads release and car inches up then reapply(pedal drops about 3/4inch then grabs)

you may wanna try bleeding your brakes, as long as you know what your doing. probe power all the way, i also own a 1989 probe gl 2.2 5spd.
