1987 Questions for all other cars No brake pedal

Hi hugo the yugo,

What vehicle do you have?

Is it equipped with ABS and/or load sensing proportioning valve ?

When bleeding, does all the wheels have pressured fluid coming out?
Did you check the master cylinder to brake power booster rod clearance?
Is the brake pedal to master booster push rod clearance correct?

Thank you for helping. The car is a 1987 Yugo GV. NO ABS or power brakes it does have a vacuum assist brake system. When I replaced the master cyl I just removed and replaced, did not check rod clearance The fluid comes out with a force so I guess the lines are clear. The car has a compersator on the rear brakes and I have no idea how to decide if it is good or bad other than r&r it. I was thinking about blocking off the rear brakes by plugging the line and seeing if I could get a pedal with just the front brakes since all that is new, then I would know the rear is the problem. Would not drive like that tho. Would the lack of brake boost have much effect on the pedal? I am not running the car when I try to bleed the system. I really am stumped..

When brake compensator fails, you would get very low pedal position. Did you try bleeding the compensator? since vehicle has been left idle for such a long period of time, it is very likely the compensator needs to be replaced.
