I have just fitted a new electronic ignition to my Truimph Stag ( Luminition )
Fitted the unit as per instructions on attempting to set up the staic tiimeing -test light from negative terminal coil to negative terminal of the battery the test light stays on all the time - when it should go out as the chopper passes over the optical eye.
The vehicle has got an imoberliser fitted -and there are two wires going to the coil one to the postive and one to the negative, the negative wire has a second loop of wire that was connected under the old set of points - all though on checking with the ignition on this wire when checked is live.
can any one help as i am a bit bemused as it should be a straght forward job
