Electrical problem
1969 Questions for all other cars 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi, I have a 1969 MGBGT. The Heater switch for the fan quit working. I tried to find a replacement switch through a few suppliers but could not get one. It seems that the switch is specialized in some way but I don't know or why it is so hard to get. So I had my mechanic, (not an MG specialist) put another switch in the car. About a week later as I was driving, my overdrive quit. It's electric, then the engine died a short time later because the electric fuel pump also quit. Are the problems related? Or was this simply coincidence? If you don't know, could you please direct me to someone that might.
Thanks,
Michael B.
