02 sensor

I have a montero 2001 xls 3.5 v6 with code error #0155 which indicate 02 sensor (bank 2 sensor 1). Does bank 1 refers to driver side and bank 2 to passenger side if you have a transverse engine?

I think bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that cylinder 1 is on and bank 2 is the other. Sensor 1 is before the Cat Converter. I just replaced that one on my Mits this weekend.
