I did the jumper wire, but my engine light stayed on... No flash of any kind.

Hi Joel,

First, take a look through this link to confirm it was tested correctly:

If it was, then we need to check two things. First, pin A in the DLC provides a ground path. Confirm there is continuity to ground. If there is, check for a voltage signal at pin B. The key must be on.

Saying that it didn't find anything wrong... Which is... I replaced the crank case sensor and harmonic balancer... It fired right up... Ran beautifully for 2 days... Then just shut off again... And won't start... Where should i start? Give me a clue if you can please.

Okay, we need to determine what has been lost, spark or fuel. The easiest thing to do is this. See if it starts for a couple of seconds using starting fluid. If it does and then stalls, we know its fuel related. If it makes no difference, check for ignition spark to the plugs. Here is a link that shows how it's done:

Let me know the results. Also, confirm the new crankshaft position sensor hasn't moved or the wiring has been damaged. If you have the new sensor online, let me know. It may have already failed.

I did the starting fluid... Nothing... I did the jumper wire again... And again the #12... Obviously, there's something wrong... Why won't it show a code for it? And where do i start? I'm going to pull a plug now.

Hi:
If you have no spark, it is likely related to the sensor you installed. Check for spark. If there is none, go back to the sensor. Get a replacement and see if that makes a difference. Also, if by chance you got the sensor online, try getting one from a parts store. I am seeing so many issues with online parts, especially electrical parts.

Also, the ignition control module may have failed. If there is a tachometer in the vehicle, see if it moves a little when cranking. If it does, then the crank sensor is likely okay and the module has failed. I attached a pic below showing the module. It is what the coils bolt to. If you remove it, a parts store should be able to test it for you.
